Former Google China President Kai-Fu Lee posted on his micro blog how to contact a US swimming association official who had made doping allegations against Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen.

Lee, CEO of Innovation Works, posted the information about John Leonard, executive director of the American Swimming Coaches Association, on Sina Weibo on Aug 2. Li has more than 15 million followers on the micro blog service. Li later deleted the post.

Lee said he had read dozens of news reports in which Leonard accused Ye, who won two gold medals in London, of using drugs. Now that test results of different organizations show Ye is innocent, Leonard should really apologize to the young athlete, Lee said.

Lee also had said that the Chinese people should use “factual and civilized words” to ask for an apology from Leonard.

Lee’s behavior itself then came under fire, as some netizens said he was infringing on Leonard’s privacy.
