Chinese scientific research ship Haiyang-10 returned home on Tuesday after completing its joint scientific exploration in the waters around the Indian Ocean, according to the China Geological Survey.
The ship began its mission, which is an important scientific cooperation between China and Pakistan, departing from Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, on Nov 28.
It returned to a dock specially designed by the Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey, after sailing 26,100 kilometers in 91 days.
Scientists from Pakistan visited the ship and conducted scientific exchanges with their Chinese counterparts during its mission.
The Haiyang-10, independently designed and built by China, is a new-generation comprehensive scientific survey ship with high-precision exploration.
