Images of a narrow road cut on a breathtaking mountain ridge in Chongqing went viral recently.
The road on Daobeiliang (meaning "back of a knife blade" in Chinese) from Liutang village to Dafengmen in Chongqing's Shizhu Tujia autonomous county is truly spectacular.
Dafengmen, or the gate of the gale, located on the main ridge of Qiyao Mountain, features 12 peaks at altitudes above 1,800 meters. It is named for the year-round roaring wind in the area, which is being tapped by wind power turbines.
Winding along the mountain ridge with steep cliffs on both sides, the road has drawn many adventurers including cyclists and photographers, in search of a thrill.
