In addition, Wei saw a sanitation worker picking up the bones that had been dumped in a bin. The bones would be eaten later, and Wei said it was not a pleasant feeling to see that level of hunger. So he decided to do something about it. He invited the workers to eat mutton on a regular basis.

Liu Jianjun, vice-chairman of the Xin Lian Xin Volunteer Association, said that what the restaurant did was deeply moving, and the spirit of giving caught on.
The association organized volunteers to carry out public welfare work on the fifth day of every month — providing free medical consultations, giving haircuts and handing out clothes to sanitation workers.

"There are many caring people joining with us. I will continue to do it. I also hope more people will be grateful for sanitation workers and respect their labor," Wei said. "As long as everyone gives a little love, the world will have a beautiful tomorrow."
