Guangzhou building makeshift hospital

Guangzhou, Guangdong province, is currently building a makeshift hospital with 3,450 beds in the Pazhou exhibition center in its Haizhu district. [Photo by Zheng Erqi/chinadaily.com.cn]

A hall in the Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, is being transformed into a makeshift hospital as a precautionary measure in tackling COVID-19 outbreaks. It will provide 3,450 beds upon completion.

All provinces in China are required to prepare two to three makeshift hospitals.
