China bullish on economic growth

China remains confident its economy will grow and give priority to stabilizing growth to achieve quality and reasonable development in 2023, said Guo Weimin, spokesperson of the first session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee.
The country's strong market size, industrial system and human resources will provide a solid foundation for resilient and dynamic growth this year, said Guo.
Dealing with continued global political and economic instability, and the ongoing effects of policy adjustments by major economies, members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference suggested the government to continue to expand domestic demand and accelerate consumption recovery, said Guo.
They urged the government to support digital transformation in traditional industries and small and medium-sized enterprises, and stressed that the financial system should better serve innovative and small businesses, he said.
The CPPCC members said efforts should also be made to promote the steady and healthy development of the real estate industry.
