Jinan plans 55 events for Intl Women's Day
Jinan will hold a series of 55 events to celebrate this year's International Women's Day, which falls on March 8, according to a news conference held on March 6.
According to an announcement at the conference, Jinan will hold 16 commemorative events to inspire women to achieve their dreams and contribute to the building of a strong provincial capital.
To stimulate women's consumption potential and support economic and social development, the city will organize 13 events, including women's consumption festivals and live-stream sales events.
To safeguard the rights and interests of women and children and ensure safe development, the women's federation of Jinan will release a list of extraordinary female judges, prosecutors, police officers, lawyers, arbitrators, and mediators, along with their touching stories. It will also hold 13 related events.
Meanwhile, 13 events, including beauty and makeup festivals, intangible cultural heritage tie-dyeing experiences, and children's drawing activities will also be held to celebrate the day.
