Hangzhou is beefing up efforts to develop a one-stop digital platform to enhance services for international visitors and residents, aiming to boost its global appeal.
At a seminar on April 7, experts, scholars, and expats gathered to discuss Hangzhou's efforts and potential improvements.
The platform, accessible via Alipay, the mobile payment arm of Alibaba Group, offers essential services like payment, transportation, medical care, and visa appointments. It also integrates with Hangzhoufeel, providing information for international users. Attendees suggested innovations like online financial services for expats and themed tourism packages.
With ongoing developments, Hangzhou aims to include more sectors on the platform so as to further enhance its urban soft power.
