Sanya has become a popular domestic tourist destination for the upcoming May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, according to multiple online travel agency (OTA) platforms.

The Sanya tourism, culture, radio, television, and sports bureau noted on April 24 that Sanya is set to enrich its offerings of discounted tourism products, intensify efforts to regulate the tourism market, and welcome visitors from both home and abroad with a high-quality market environment and heartwarming services.

During the five-day holiday, Sanya is intended to continue to carry out activities to promote tourism consumption. A total of 263 different types of tourism products, including hotel packages, scenic area attractions, seafood dining, and yacht excursions, are expected to be offered at a 50 percent discount, with a total discount of approximately 230 million yuan ($31.74 million).

Considering the growing concert consumption market in Hainan, Sanya has announced that during the period from May to October, visitors holding tickets to concerts held in Sanya and Haikou can enjoy preferential treatment in Sanya, such as tourism and cultural attractions, yacht experiences, hotel accommodations, and seafood dining.

Sanya has also planned to collaborate with surrounding cities and counties to jointly launch a series of activities and increase the supply of themed products. At the same time, focusing on personalized tourism demands, Sanya is scheduled to plan and launch yacht tourism, water tourism, low-altitude tourism, and rural tourism, all of which are distinctive tourism products and routes in Sanya.

Furthermore, the Sanya Tourism Board anticipates joining hands with the Official Tourism Board in Dubai, Atlantis Dubai, and Atlantis Sanya to launch the "Dubai &Sanya Food Festival" in Sanya on May 1. In mid-May, a Sanya Food Festival is scheduled also to be held in Dubai.
