Nine couples from across China participated in an extraordinary aerial group wedding in Jiande, Hangzhou on May 17, showcasing their love and commitment in the most daring way.
Among the couples, Liao Chanyuan and her husband were the only ones who dropped from a height of 3,300 meters.
"At first, I was a bit scared, but it turned out to be amazing! Getting married in the sky is just so cool," said Liao. "We met in college, and after graduation, he moved from Jiangxi to live with me in Jiande. I'm really grateful, and this experience was a way to thank him for always treating me like a queen."
The other couples enjoyed scenic hot air balloon rides and low-altitude helicopter tours over Jiande's picturesque natural scenery.
Zhang Yijun, director of the Jiande Marriage Registration Service Center, said, "Our service philosophy has evolved from simple marriage registration to enhancing the ceremonial experience. We hope couples can celebrate their special day in a variety of special ways."
