Xi's article on further deepening reform comprehensively to be published

BEIJING -- An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on further deepening reform comprehensively will be published on Thursday.
The article by Xi, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be published in this year's second issue of Qiushi Journal, the flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.
The article hails the major achievements of deepening reform comprehensively in the new era since 2013, which have laid a solid foundation and provided valuable experience for further deepening reform comprehensively on the new journey.
It is essential to uphold fundamental principles and break new ground in further deepening reform comprehensively, the article says, also stressing the significance of promoting social equity and justice and improving public well-being.
It is necessary to promote theoretical, practical, institutional and cultural innovation, as well as innovation in other fields, to provide strong impetus and institutional guarantee for Chinese modernization, the article notes.
The article also says that reform must be guided and advanced with scientific methods, and that the litmus test of reform will lie in how well it performs, what it delivers and how much satisfaction it brings the people.
