More than 130 galleries and art institutions from some 32 cities across the country and around the world have brought works to this year's fair, which opens to the public on Saturday and Sunday.

Major galleries which operate spaces in the 798 art zone and Shanghai, another art hub, are regular participants at the fair, showing artists that have collaborating for years.

Institutions from other cities have increased their presence at the fair, showing the richness and diversity of artistic creation.

Another two art events, Gallery Weekend Beijing and Art021 Beijing, have also opened to celebrate Beijing's contemporary art vibe.
