June is a busy season for farmers in Wenxian county, Gansu province, where they are hard at transplanting rice seedlings.

Farmers toiled away in the paddy fields, plowing, transporting, and planting seedlings in an orderly manner.

This year, Wenxian county plans to plant 506.67 hectares of rice. Transplanting is expected to be completed in early June, with the harvest expected by late August to early September.

By introducing high-quality rice varieties and increasing investment in mechanization and precision technology, Wenxian county has improved the level of agricultural modernization.

To ensure a bountiful harvest, Wenxian county has arranged for agricultural technicians to provide technical guidance to farmers in everything from seed selection and seedling cultivation to disease and pest control, protecting crop growth and grain production.
