Major Beijing culture and tourism expo starts

The 2025 Beijing International Cultural and Tourism Consumption Expo kicked off on Friday at the Beijing Exhibition Center.
Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the event features over 500 exhibitors across eight themed zones, showcasing innovations from across the culture and tourism value chain.
Spanning 30,000 square meters, the expo highlights global and domestic destinations, digital experiences, and creative cultural products. Tourism organizations from 22 countries and 39 international brands present immersive travel offerings, while national exhibitors from 12 provinces and 26 cities spotlight China's cultural diversity.
Beijing's 16 districts and cooperative regions also showcased local specialties, such as Grand Canal-themed products and urban vitality exhibits.
The event strengthens industry collaboration through matchmaking fairs between 230 hotels and more than 20 travel agencies, and launches initiatives like senior-friendly digital travel cards and Temple of Heaven digital collectibles. Cutting-edge tech — from AI robots to automated culinary machines — adds an interactive flair.
Running until Sunday, the expo blends culture, commerce, and innovation, drawing tens of thousands of visitors and reinforcing Beijing's role as a vibrant hub for cultural tourism development.
