The 14th China Children's Theater Festival kicked off on Friday at the China National Theater for Children in Beijing as 14 kids belted out theme songs from six of the classics, including Malan Flower and The Cat God in the Palace Museum, produced by the theater over its 69-year history.
Opening the festival was Yangtze River Goddess, Would You Like to Be My Dad?Created by the theater in 2024, the fairytale drama tells a heartwarming, thought-provoking story about a baiji, a species of freshwater dolphin that may be extinct and a Yangtze finless porpoise, which is currently endangered.
