On Friday in Tongren, Guizhou province, workers inspected the first 1,000 electric motorcycles set to undergo road testing in Kazakhstan.

The shipment kicks off a 300,000-unit agreement worth about 900 million yuan ($125.5 million), as many Chinese electric motorcycle makers turn to international markets to escape mounting domestic competition.

"That order was signed on June 10," explained Fu Hualing, deputy general manager of Guizhou New Kuangye Technology. "Our Kazakhstani clients requested these initial units for performance trials and road-test certification."

Fu's company already runs more than 300 service outlets and over 200 branded stores across China. Facing ever-intensifying competition at home, it has shifted its focus abroad.

Last year, the firm began its international expansion in Southeast Asia. In September, it shipped its first models to Thailand. Praised for their distinctive design, robust performance, and eco-friendly features, these motorcycles quickly won market acceptance and soon generated orders from Laos.

"Southeast Asia's tropical climate demands exceptional battery performance. After rigorous testing and continuous improvements, our products have proven fully capable of meeting local needs," Fu said.

He added that the company now plans to enter African markets while strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia and five Central Asian countries.
