Mozart's opera back on stage with cast of Chinese, global artists

Conducted by the NCPA's music director Lyu Jia, the production will bring together a cast of distinguished Chinese and international singers, many of whom are renowned for their performances of Mozart's operas.
The opera tells the hilarious and dramatic story of Figaro, a servant in the household of Count Almaviva, who is trying to marry his beloved Susanna, while navigating a series of romantic entanglements, misunderstandings, and mistaken identities. Mozart's music, paired with the sharp wit of the libretto, creates an opera that remains a cornerstone of the operatic canon. For opera lovers, the NCPA's production promises a rich experience, offering both a visual and musical feast.
Besides the live performances, the NCPA will introduce the opera production to a wider audience. For the first time, the live performance will be broadcast on Saturday simultaneously across over 30 cities nationwide, through the NCPA's "Second Stage" livestreaming platform.
