11. Reminisce at 1931. Situated on Maoming Nanlu bar street, 1931 is trying its best to preserve several brilliant threads of old Shanghai.. 12. Have a brew in Paulaner. Paulaner restaurant, reconstructed from the house of Bai Chongxi, a civil-war period Kuomingtang official , is Shanghai's most famous German restaurant/bar. German-style black beer brewed on location is beyond compare. Paulaner's wooden furniture and stained glass windows come from the old churches of Bayern. 13. Go dancing at Pujin. Located in the Qun Building of Jinmao Tower, Pujin Recreation Center is the newest and hottest nightclub downtown.
