Heilongjiang is briefly named as Hei, with Ha’erbin as its provincial seat. Heilongjiang is abundant in forests and mineral resources. Industry mainstays of Heilongjiang include oil, coal, timber, machinery and food-processing. Heilongjiang’s agriculture is based mainly on grain production, with wheat, maize, cereal, sorghum and bean as main grain crops.
In 2008, the total GDP for Heilongjiang is?expected to?surpass 1 trillion yuan.??
黑龍江省簡稱黑，省會城市是哈爾濱。黑龍江林礦業(yè)資源豐富，是國家重要的能源工業(yè)基地，是主煤炭調(diào)出省之一。除此之外，電力和燃氣也占有重要地位。工業(yè)以石油、煤炭、木材、機械、食品為主體。農(nóng)業(yè)以糧食生產(chǎn)為主，主要作物有小麥、玉米、谷子、高粱、大豆。
2010年黑龍江生產(chǎn)總值預計超1萬億元。
Heilongjiang has formed a comprehensive network of synchronized land, water and air transportation, in which, its railway operation mileage ranks first in China. The Eurasian Land-Bridge traverses the province. The Ha’erbin, as the provincial seat, is commonly referred to as ‘ice city’. It is the largest political, economic and cultural centre in the Northeast of China and one of the important heavy industrial bases of the country.
黑龍江交通便捷，形成了陸、水、空運輸并行的綜合運輸網(wǎng)，其中鐵路營運里程居全國第1位。歐亞大陸橋橫貫境內(nèi)。省內(nèi)森林資源豐富，礦產(chǎn)儲藏量大，森林面積、森林總蓄積和木材產(chǎn)量均居全國前列，是國家最重要的國有林區(qū)和最大的木材生產(chǎn)基地。黑龍江省旅游資源豐富多彩，夏宜避暑，冬宜賞雪，濕地、邊境、歷史遺跡和民俗風情等成為黑龍江重要的旅游資源。
