Fresh lychees shipped to Nauru

A batch of fresh Xianjinfeng lychees weighing about 997 kilograms was shipped to the Republic of Nauru after officers from Foshan Customs completed the quarantine and supervision of the famous Lingnan fruit on Tuesday.
It is the first time a company under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou Customs in South China's Guangdong province sold lychees to Nauru, said a statement released by Guangzhou Customs on Tuesday.
It indicates the "friend list of lychee" has added a new friend, further expanding its international "circle of friends," said the statement. Foshan Customs is administered by Guangzhou Customs.
Xianjinfeng lychee is a late-maturing variety that ripens in mid- to late-July. Known as the "Queen of Lychee" since ancient times, it includes the characteristics of sweetness without greasiness and thick flesh, the statement said.
To ensure lychee is able to meet the relevant standards of the importing countries and regions, Guangzhou Customs has continued to pay attention to the dynamic inspection and quarantine standards of relevant countries and regions, assist enterprises in assessing technical trade risks in advance, and guide enterprises to respond accurately in the previous months, the statement said.
